Locating your pulse points

Pulse points are the specific locations on the body where the pulse can be felt and measured, including:

Temple (temporal): located in the soft indentions on the side of the head, above and directly inward from the top of the ear

Neck (carotid): located in the soft hollows on either side of the neck

Chest (apical): located directly above the apex of the heart

Inner Elbow (brachial): located in the crease of the elbow

Wrist (radial): located on the soft spot tissue landing just after wrist bone

Knee Bend (popliteal): located on the back of the knee (you can feel this pulse point best with a slight bend in the knees)

Ankle (dorsalis pedis): located on in the soft hollow on the outside of the ankle
